Lark

More Vireo dipping this morning at Carreg Dhu under a cloudy sky and strong easterly. Redwing were zipping over along with a calling Brambling. In the gardens were 2 Yellow-browed Warbler and a Firecrest.

A trip up to the airport got us the Short-toed Lark that was feeding along the edge of the runway with a flock of Skylark. With the weather brightening it was back to the gardens, but the Vireo failed to show. We get some great, close views of a hunting Hobby, a Scilly tick for me.

We eventually gave up and headed down to Lower Moors for some close views of 5-6 Jack Snipe. No sign of the Little Bunting at the Standing Stones Field, but there was a Black Redstart in the field opposite.

From here it was over Peninnis where we had 3 Wryneck basking in the last of the sun.
