Ashes

George had a new flock of Black-tailed Godwit with 25 first thing at Shibdon. Just 5 remained by the time I got there, along with a Green Sandpiper. A half-hearted trip up the coast followed with the day mostly being filled by listening to the cricket. 6 Little Egret at Cresswell and an excellent Greenshank at Hauxley were the birding highlights. Broad and Root were the cricket highlights.
