35 Whooper Swan flew over north just as I took my seat at Whitburn this morning. Unfortunately it never really got going, but a Black-throated Diver south was nice.

Not much around Gateshead with 13 Shelduck, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gull and an Oystercatcher at Shibdon.
