It only takes a bit of north in the wind to bring the birds past Whitburn. An excellent seawatch this morning with hordes of Gannet and Kittiwake passing with over 100 Manx and 4 Sooty Shearwater, but best of all another Cory's. This one behaved properly, shearing up high in loops before disappearing into the gloom. The other star bird was a juvenile Long-tailed Skua with full results here.
Again all quiet in Gateshead with 2 Green Sandpiper at Lamesley and 9 Black-tailed Godwit at Shibdon.
