After the excitement of yesterday, today was spent localish. Shibdon held 24 Black-tailed Godwit and a Green Sandpiper, while a juvenile Dunlin was briefly at Timber Beach.
After a couple of heavy showers went through I had a quick look up the coast. No sign of the Pectoral Sandpiper at Bothal, but there were 3 Ruff, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and 7 Dunlin. Cresswell held 2 Ruff, 6 Black-tailed Godwit and a Greenshank. Hauxley, from the Ponteland hide, had 2 Little Egret and a Kingfisher shot through. Nothing of note at East Chevington, but the water is getting shallower, hopefully in time for some waders.
