Distant Shrike

Distant views of the Great Grey Shrike at West Hartford this morning. The wind had picked up by the time I got there, so the bird was keeping low in the hedge. Little else here, but a Stonechat was on a fence.

    Don't mean to bother you again, but I've been meaning to ask are there barn owls in gateshead? Or are there any signs to indicate that they maybe about?

      I haven't seen one for 2 years. Apparently they have had a good year elsewhere in Durham, so hopefully will reappear soon.
