Pec 2

Thought I would try Lamesley first this morning and almost the first bird I saw was a brand new Pectoral Sandpiper. This one a spanking juvenile with a strongly striped back. Unfortunately the bird flew to the middle of the reserve, as far away as possible from any vantage point, hence crap phone through scope record shot!

Juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper
Amazing, waiting for years for a Gateshead Pec and two come along like buses.

At Shibdon there were now 2 juv and 1 adult Ruff which were joined this evening by 2 Greenshank and a Green Sandpiper.
